José-Daniel Castellon is a French flutist whose musical activity has been recognized across numerous concert venues around the world.
He studied flute in Lyon with Marius Beuf and Maxence Larrieu. At the age of 19 he won Geneva competition (1983) and was hired by John Eliot Gardiner to join the Orchestre National de l'Opéra de Lyon.
In 1989 he was appointed as a principal flute the National Orchestra of Lyon. From 1990 to 2004 he was the principal flutist of the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra in Switzerland.
In 2004 he was appointed professor of flute at HEMU - Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne and frequently gives masterclasses at music academies around the world. He has been frequent juror of major flute competitions: Maxence Larrieu Competition (Nice), Domenico Cimarosa (Aversa, Italy) and Jean Français (Paris).
Chinese-born violinist Jiafeng Chen is a highly acclaimed soloist and educator. His early career was marked by major competition wins, including 1st Prize at the Wieniawski International Competition for Young Violinists and 2nd Prize at the Jean Sibelius International Violin Competition. He is also a Laureate of the Queen Elisabeth Competition and a Paganini Prize winner at the Indianapolis Competition.
Chen's education spanned the Shanghai Conservatory, Chetham’s School of Music, the Royal College of Music (RCM), and the Juilliard School. He has performed as a soloist across six continents with renowned orchestras and at halls like Carnegie Hall and the Royal Albert Hall. He is currently a violin professor at the Royal College of Music, London, and a DPhil student at the University of Oxford.
Russian-born pianist Aleksandr Shaikin, a prize-winner at the prestigious 2015 Géza Anda Competition, trained in Moscow with world-renowned professors. He has performed in major European venues, including Zurich's Tonhalle, Auditorium Stravinsky, Salle Cortot, and the Grand Hall of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory.
As a soloist, he has played with the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich and Concerto Budapest. A passionate chamber musician, he collaborates with notable soloists like Anastasia Kobekina and has explored interdisciplinary projects in dance and theater. Aleksandr Shaikin currently resides in Lausanne and teaches at the Concervatoire de Musique de Genève.
Yunmo Zhang is a Chinese-American flutist completing his Master Soliste at the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne (HEMU). He is the co-founder and Artistic Director of the Bex Music Festival. Zhang's artistry is highlighted by an upcoming 2026-27 solo engagement with the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne.
He is a laureate of several competitions, including 2nd prize at the 2024 Concours National d'Exécution Musicale and a second-round competitor at the 2023 Concours de Genève. As an orchestral musician, he has performed with the Sinfonietta de Lausanne and Blaricum Festival Orchestra. He previously earned his Concertiste diploma unanimously from the CRR de Paris.
